how different is it to see life through a lens?
there is something about some people, the way they look that works on camera, in part it can be bone structure, and there is a way to respond when a camera is on you.
photogenic is the way that it is normally described.
the other night i heard someone described as ‘lighting up’ for the camera, as if something about them through a lens is perhaps more alive, vital, sexy.
i wonder if people who have seen pictures are a little disappointed when they meet this person.

visit tango just once, talk to the owner driss and you will understand that with passion and knowledge the debris from other peoples lives can become a veritible den of treasures.
my customer comes along and …
with a motion of the hand it is understood that every single one of these treasures will find a home, the right home, an amazing home with a new owner
this new owner will love the thing with the same passion that has been invested in it by the man who hand picked it out from among the discards.

there are time when you are lucky enough to come across some people on the verge of a big adventure.
full of energy, the nervous excitement is contagious, an adventure is on the cards for any witness.
when the people travelling are a band like gerda blank and the farewell is an album release on the eve of leaving for london then chances are you are in for something very special.

it has been said about auckland that if you don’t like the weather then wait ten minutes.
in my experience the changes can take up to an hour or two, but with a little patience you will indeed get what it is you want.

on any journey there are going to be obstacles, inumerous things that can go wrong get in the way of where you think you are going.
thinking ahead can let you see what they may be, it can also help to create these situations out of your expectations.
if we had the chance to think about all the obstacles we may encounter from the cradle to the grave, how many of us would chose not to be born.
