games and toys, the tools of childhood, designed to further the imagination.

in the land of imagination anything is possible.

a wise monkey is the king of the castle, surveying all that is his, his trusty oracle always at hand, his rule over the people kindly but firm, they need to be protected, for although the pterodactyl song is enchanting mesmeric this does not mean that it can be trusted when hungry.

when the world of possibility is wide open the answers are simple.

a good friend is hard to find.

if you spend enough time with another person you can have a large amount of things that don’t need to be explained, the shared experiences that can become a secret language in the company of others.

finding people that you want to spend a large amount of time with is where it gets hard.

i wonder how much different my life would be right now if i had grown up in a culture which had traditional dating.

ask someone on the date turn up on their doorstep with a gift in hand, take them out to somewhere; you see i don’t really know how the script goes.

i have had exactly one date in my life, i invited an amazing woman to a party to which she accepted, i arrived with her on my arm which made me feel like a star, being a party we both spent a lot of the time talking to others and at the moments we were in the same spot there was a magical connection, i will remember this date for the rest of my life.

come to think of it,  i still have this amazing woman’s phone number.

To the centre of the city in the night, waiting for you

throughout the history of mankind, we have built up a whole raft of superstitions about the night.

when we describe emotional states other than happiness/bliss/ecstasy these are described in the same terms as the night.

driving towards a city from the county side the ambient light creates a soft glow in the sky that is visible from a distance, almost as if we have such an aversion to the night that we turn the places where most of us live into a night light from a childs bedroom.

it is always 1.36 when you enter zeitgeist in surrey cres grey lynn, the sense of timelessness in this place extends far beyond the clock on the wall with it’s hand that don’t move.

at any time you can go in and marvel at the new goodies that ben the owner has procured, sit and relax with an organic coffee perhaps a ginseng tea, talk to any one of the interesting locals.

there are time when a community springs up around one person and one place, as if it is a lightning rod drawing in the wild energy in the atmosphere.
