is it possible to relive an act of pure inspiration?
that burst of energy when everything changes, the pieces all fall into place, suddenly you feel overwhelmed with a startling lucidity.
when one is taken with true inspiration things that once seemed impossible are suddenly as easy as lifting one foot and placing it in front of the other.
it is true that inspiration can strike one at any time, please let us not let that fact prevent us from celebrating glorious moments in the past.
it’s all coming back to me.

’tis the season.
right around this time of year in all fairness we here in the southern hemisphere should be celebrating christmas, seeing as the date was set to coincide with the winter solstice.
with the shortest day one sleep away and the days becoming darker, claustrophobic, short. there is a dark malaise that seems to creep over the whole city.
something about the seasons has an effect us all, the light, the temperature. different places have a mood of their own based largely on these factors, and to ignore how these things create a mood on a time continuum would seem naive, unrealistic.
taken far enough one could base the outcome of future events based on what happened at the same seasonal time the year before, or indeed if one was in the same physical space as they are now, even events ten years ago could be a guide.
i suddenly started looking forward to late spring.

is there really any difference between fantasy and reality?
the mind is such a powerful thing that one’s perception of any situation can be more important than the facts.
taken far enough can this mean that facts are meaningless?
something to be careful about with regards to the facts is that if your perception changes you may find yourself in an entirely different situation than you thought you were in.
of course, there is always the chance to change perception again.

i once was lost and now im found, was blind..
there is a well documented increase in the acuteness of the remaining senses when a person loses the ability to use one.
take the movie ray and it’s portrayal of the legendary musician’s life. his incredible sense of hearing coming on as if he had just had 6 million dollars invested in upgrades to his aural equipment, once his degenerative illness had taken away the last of his sight.
this got me to thinking about pinball, now that is a game for people who don’t mind bending rules, how far do you lean in, nudge the machine before the tilt light goes? will you push it just far enough to get results?
i wonder if helen keller knew how hard to lean in?
