romantic love is the greatest gift that life has to offer, it can fill the otherwise practical day to day tasks that make up modern life with an incredible magic and joy.
this romantic love is it always for another human being?
let me propose that we can have this love for the whole world indeed the whole universe, every single thing living or non living.
let this joy fill our everyday with wonder, let us treat every breathe as if it is a gift let us be in love with life.
love is all we…
hmmm maybe lust is the better option

there are some things that another person can say that open a long dormant part of you, as if finding your voice after an illness.
henry miller wrote that once a writer found his voice the only thing he could write was yes, YES. the yes he describes is a resounding one, as if yelling at the top of your voice.
please allow me to add a few more, the yes of relief and joy when you first find that the object of your affection is interested in you, the yes of quiet satisfation when you have solved a problem that has been burdening you, the ecstatic yes that is familiar to all lovers.
YES YES YES

i remember my childhood very fondly, days spent with my dad getting to know wellington via small golf courses on days i was meant to be at home in bed sick.
playing crown and anchor with my brother and sister using the milk money, staying up late and playing cards for real money when the adults let you win so you go to bed without a fuss.
sunday morning in softball season with the debris of a party in the lounge, knowing that mum and dad would be in bed and desperate for quiet time so that it could mean money for a trip to the dairy.
here’s to the joys of childhood.

some movie scenes once seen can colour your outlook on the possibilities of what life can hold forever.
i can vividly recall the final scene in the terminator, the terminator refuses to die, will not stop, like a darker energiser bunny he keeps going and going.
the machine-like steely determination that the machine displays, surely that is a way to get things done, against all odds, whatever the barriers, taking everything in stride.
one touch of the fragile flesh we are made of, and i relise that perhaps a softer approach is what is required.

have you ever had a moment when you feel like your life is passing you by, and you need to do something however wreckless to catch up on it, to somehow make your self feel alive again.
even if that thing makes no sense to anyone in the rest of the world, you know that somehow it will all work out.
if you think about it, talk about it, put it to paper, it may seem like the wrong thing to do, make no sense.
the decision is then one of whether it is better to be sensible, or to take the risk and make the leap into the unknown.
